Brian Heder is a confirmed character in Grand Theft Auto VI and one of the most important figures in Jason Duval's story. Officially introduced in the Trailer 2 character reveal (May 2025), Rockstar describes him as a local drug smuggling boss operating in the Keys area of Leonida.

Heder is Jason's criminal landlord — Jason both works for him and lives in property he owns. This makes their relationship one of the more complex dynamics in the game's opening acts, with Jason economically dependent on a man he works for as an enforcer and logistics operator.

In Trailer 2, Heder is seen alongside Jason in several shots that appear to depict the early stages of their working relationship. His operation is described as local and Keys-based — suggesting he is a regional criminal figure rather than a major Vice City power player, though his role may evolve as the story escalates.

He is believed by many fans to be the corrupt police officer heard saying "us cops gotta stick together" in Trailer 2 — though Rockstar has not confirmed this connection. The Trailer 2 character reveal lists Heder separately from any law enforcement figure, so the identity of the corrupt cop remains officially unconfirmed.
